Zigadenus sibiricus
Z. sibiricus (L.) A. Gray
Family Melanthiaceae. Occurs in sparse forests, shrub thickets, and rock crevices in the eastern part of the European portion of Russia, in Siberia, the Amur Region, Primorsky and Khabarovsk Krais, and in the alpine belt of mountains in northern Japan.
Plant 20 - 80 cm tall. Leaves at the base of the stem linear, tapering toward the base, 10 - 20 cm long, 0.4 - 1 cm wide. Stem leaves 1 - 2, short. Bracts dark purple. Flowers white, arranged in a loose raceme, 1 cm in diameter. Outer perianth segments broadly lanceolate, inner ones lanceolate, nectaries paired, anthers reddish-violet. Blooms in June.
