Grape Modern – a hybrid form of table grape of early ripening. Bunches ripen by August 15-20.

Shoots are vigorous, the cane ripens well. The flower is hermaphrodite. Pollination is very good.

Bunches are attractive, large, conical, moderately loose, without millerandage, weighing 500-600 g. Berries are large, 10-15 g and more, slightly oval, dark red. Skin is thick, covered with a weak wax bloom, does not crack. Flesh is watery, with a light refreshing acidity. Practically not affected by wasps. Can remain on the vine for a long time. Berries poorly tolerate heat.

Yield is high; from one bush you can obtain 15-20 kg or more. Prone to overcropping.

Hardiness zone: 6a (buds in the eyes withstand down to -23°C). Winter covering is recommended.

Site: Not demanding on soil, but grows better on light, sufficiently moist ground. The plant is drought-resistant.

Planting and care: similar to those for cultivated grape.

Pruning: vines are vigorous. Prone to overcropping. Prune fruiting canes to 6-8 buds. The plant load is 20-25 buds per bush.

Diseases and pests: Resistance to downy mildew – 3.0-3.5 points; resistance to powdery mildew and gray rot is good.

Propagation: cuttings root well.

Use: Fruits are consumed fresh and used for processing, have good transportability and excellent market appearance. A promising form for amateur viticulture.
