Grape Ataman – a hybrid form of grape from amateur selection. Mid or mid–late ripening, 130-145 days. Under the conditions of the city of Novocherkassk it ripens on September 15-20. Vines are vigorous, with hermaphroditic flowers. Shoots ripen well.
Bunches large, cylindro–conical, sometimes lobed (length 25-30 cm, width 12–15 cm), of medium density. Average bunch weight 600-800 g, some up to 1.2 kg. Berries large and very large (length 32–35 mm, width 23–25 mm, average weight 12–16 g), elongated-oval, red-violet or dark-violet in the sun, with a moderate waxy bloom. Skin is thick. Flesh is meaty-juicy. Flavor pleasant, harmonious. Juice sugar content 16–20 g/100 cm3, acidity 6–8 g/dm3. Fruit-bearing shoots 50–65%, yield coefficient 0.9-1.1

Location: Not demanding on soil, but grows better on light, adequately moist soil. The plant is drought-tolerant. Not sensitive to waterlogging.
Planting and care: Similar to that for cultivated grape. Planting scheme: 3 x 0.75 m
Pruning: Load per vine 55—60 buds. Pruning of fruiting canes to 8–10 buds.
Training: Single-trunk fan training with a trunk height of 80-100 cm. In some locations it performs well in an arbor.
Diseases and pests: Resistance to fungal diseases is average.
Propagation: Cuttings root well. Has proven excellent in grafted cultivation.
Use: Fruits are consumed fresh, have high transportability and an excellent marketable appearance. Can be stored in the refrigerator for a long time without loss of taste or market qualities.
