Grape Argo
Vitis vinifera L.
Origin: ZOS-1 x Kodryanka. Obtained by V.V. Zagorulko, Ukraine
Grape «Argo» – Ripening period is very early; from budburst to full ripeness 100-105 days. Ripens by mid-August.

Vines are vigorous. Ripening of one-year shoots is good. Flower hermaphrodite. Pollination good.

Clusters of medium to large size, weighing 400-600 g, conical, loose. Berries large, size 22x34 cm, weight 10-12 g, nipple-shaped. Skin of medium thickness, edible, red-raspberry in color. Flesh fleshy, harmonious in flavor. Berry shattering, fruit drop and cracking of berries are observed. With age cracking decreases and the duration of berry retention on the vine increases.
Sugar content 18%.
Frost hardiness zone: -21°C
Site: not demanding to soil, but grows better on light, sufficiently moist, well-warmed and drained soil.
Planting and care: same as for cultivated grapevines.
Pruning: long and short pruning, to 8-12 buds. Load per vine 35-45 buds, over time increased to 55 buds. Thinning of inflorescences is mandatory.
Training: fan-shaped four-arm training. Can be trained as cordons with pruning to 2-4 buds.
Pests and diseases: Resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew – 3.0-3.5 points.
Propagation: cuttings root well.
Use: Recommended for amateur gardeners. Characterized by good taste qualities, very early ripening, good vigor, decent flavor qualities.
