Grape Pridorozhny (Vitis) – a table grape variety presumably of Moldovan origin. The growing season is 130-140 days.

Vines vigorous, shoots strong, ripen on 2/3 of their length. Each shoot bears 30-40 buds. Shoot bark brownish in color. Young canes have a yellowish tint. Cuttings are light green. Leaves bright green, with five lobes and prominent veins. Tips pointed. Yield of the variety is high. Yield coefficient 1.0-1.3. Percentage of fruiting shoots 55-65%.

Bunch large, cylindro-conical, 700-800 g, individual bunches up to 2.0 kg, medium density or loose. Berries oval-elongated, 38.5 x 23.1 mm, dark pink, very large, average weight 10-14 g. Very high commercial appearance, flesh meaty. Flavor harmonious. Sugar content 15-16 g/100 %, acidity 7-8 g/l. Good transportability. Tasting score for fresh grapes 8.6 points. Berry cracking may occur during frequent rains. If left on the vine for a long time, clusters may shatter.

Hardiness zone: 5-8 (-22°C). Requires winter protection.

Site: not demanding to soil, but grows better on light, well-warmed and drained ground.

Planting and care: similar to that for cultivated grape. It is recommended to use gibberellin after fruit set to increase berry size and even out berry size. Distance between vines at least 2.5-3 m. Preferably grown grafted onto vigorous rootstocks with a moderate shoot load and removal of weakly developed shoots.

Pruning: it is recommended to regulate shoot and bud load: 30-40 shoots per vine. Prune to 6-8 buds.

Diseases and pests: high resistance to gray rot, not resistant to fungal diseases. Affected by leafroller.

Propagation: good grafting compatibility with rootstocks

Usage: valued for its high yield, tasty berries, transportability and attractive crop. Consumed fresh. Suitable for commercial cultivation.
