Family: Orchidaceae. Тулотис буреющая grows in mixed coniferous-broadleaf, broadleaf and coniferous (mainly pine) forests, and in shrub thickets. It is found in Western (Altai) and Eastern Siberia and in the Russian Far East. Outside Russia — in China and Japan.

The plant has stolon-like underground organs. Stem 25–75 cm tall. Leaves 3 in number, the two lower ones larger (especially the lowest), rounded-elliptic, narrowed at the base into a sheath that envelops the stem, obtuse, up to 17 cm long. The third leaf is smaller and narrower, acuminate. Inflorescence cylindrical, rather dense, many-flowered, up to 20 cm long. Bracts narrow-lanceolate, acuminate; flowers yellowish-green; two outer lateral perianth segments up to 6 mm long, deflexed, ovate;

the remaining three segments are directed upward and close together. The median outer segment is ovate, up to 5 mm long. Two inner segments are somewhat thickened, obtuse. Lip up to 5.5 mm long, elongate-linear, its lateral teeth triangular, about 1 mm long. Spur cylindrical, slightly dilated at the tip, 7–9 mm long, slightly longer than or equal to the ovary. Flowers in June–July.
