Zhabritsa
Seseli
Family Umbelliferae. The genus includes about 45 species distributed in Europe, northern Asia and North America. They grow along stream banks, in sphagnum bogs; some of them as epiphytes on mosses and trees.
In addition to Crimea, it is found in Asia Minor; it grows on dry rocky mountain slopes.
Soil: undemanding with respect to soil, but does not tolerate waterlogging
Propagation of Zhabritsa: it propagates well by seed and produces abundant self-seeding. Seedlings flower in the 3rd–5th year.
Uses of Zhabritsa: Zhabritsa is best grown on an alpine rock garden, where it looks excellent throughout the growing season. It can be used for dried bouquets.
