Radermachera
Radermachera
Family Bignoniaceae. Native to Southeast Asia. These are evergreen shrubs or trees. In Russia this plant appeared relatively recently, but it was immediately popular with many due to its undemanding nature.
For sale you can find the species Radermachera sinica (Chinese Radermachera). It has bipinnate leaves of a lush green color, each leaflet up to 2.5 cm long, pointed at the tip. It grows into a bush about 60-70 cm tall. An undemanding plant.
Temperature: Moderate, not below 13°C in winter.
Light: Radermachera needs a bright location - strong diffused light; it can grow in light partial shade. It grows well on west- and east-facing windows. On a south-facing window shading is required from direct sunlight during the hottest hours.
Watering: Abundant in spring and summer, more moderate from autumn. The soil should be kept consistently moist.
Fertilizer: During the growing period from April to August, feed Radermachera every two weeks with special balanced fertilizers for houseplants.
Air humidity: Radermachera is tolerant of dry air. It quite easily tolerates central heating in apartments. It responds well to a refreshing shower.
