Hair-like Sedge

Family Cyperaceae. Distribution: New Zealand. Long, 60 cm, thin, soft, drooping foliage resembles hair. The cultivar 'Frosted Curls' has olive-green, seemingly frosted foliage, the tips fading to white. 'Bronze Form' and 'Brown Form' have, respectively, brownish-golden and dark brown foliage. Excellent for growing in containers. Available from some enthusiasts.
