Flowers: numerous, double, dark pink.

Fruits: black berries the size of peas, slightly bitter in taste.

Leaves: elliptic, bronze-green when unfolding.

Requirements: full sun only, prefers warmth, relatively winter-hardy, requires protection from wind.

Soils: fresh or moist, neutral or alkaline, fertile sandy-loam or loamy substrates.
