Appearance: large or medium shrub, 4 m tall and wide, with a rounded crown, grows slowly.

Flowers: white inflorescences with a strong scent, flowering in May-June.

Fruits: bitter-sour black cherries.

Leaves: leathery, elliptic, evergreen.

Requirements: sun/partial shade, tolerates high temperatures, not very winter-hardy, wind-resistant, suitable for urban conditions.

Soils: from moderately dry to moist, on all heavy garden soils.
