Appearance: large shrub or small tree, 5–8 m tall, 3–5 m wide, funnel-shaped crown, branches spreading, drooping, medium- or fast-growing, 30–40 cm per year.

Flowers: pink inflorescences, before leaf emergence, April.

Fruits: appear rarely, small black cherries.

Leaves: elliptic, pointed, light green, from October – yellow-orange.

Requirements: sun, prefers warmth, winter-hardy, tolerant of urban conditions, not wind-resistant.

Soils: from moist to wet, from neutral to alkaline, fertile sandy-loam substrates.

Zone: 6а
