Potentilla apennina Ten.
Family Rosaceae. Native range - mountains of Europe: the Apennines, the Balkans, where it grows at altitudes of 1600-2200 m.
Perennial 5-15 cm tall. Leaves trifoliate, silvery, pubescent. Flowers pink or white, corolla up to 15 mm in diameter. Blooms in late summer. It is planted in crevices of rocks on the eastern slopes of rock gardens. Good drainage and soil rich in calcium are required.
