Family Rosaceae. Altai Republic, Tuva, Chita Oblast, Yakutia. Endemic. High-mountain tundra, alpine meadows, sparse larch forests.

Stems 10–35 cm high, thin, erect or ascending at the base. Basal leaves trifoliate, with admixture of palmately four- or five-parted leaves, green above, mostly pubescent, white-woolly beneath, along the veins with admixture of appressed long hairs. Leaflets 0.5–2.5 cm long, 0.5–1.2 cm wide, deeply pinnately incised to 2/3 or almost to the midrib. Leaf petioles pubescent with small, usually curled hairs and longer straight hairs, sometimes finely woolly. Flowers 10–15 mm in diam., in a few-flowered inflorescence. Calyx hairy, shorter than the corolla, outer lanceolate sepals slightly shorter than the ovate-lanceolate inner ones. Achenes weakly wrinkled or smooth.
