Plectranthus
Family Lamiaceae. Native to the tropical regions of Africa, Asia, Japan, Australia and Polynesia. About 250 species occur in the wild. The following are found in cultivation:
Плектрантус кустарниковый - Plectranthus fruticosus - a tall shrub up to 1 m high, with strongly branching pubescent quadrangular shoots. Leaves up to 10 cm long, ovate, with a cordate base and doubly serrated margins. The leaves are also pubescent and have a strong scent. Flowers blue, fragrant, about 1 cm in diameter, gathered in loose terminal inflorescences.
Плектрантус Эртендаля - Plectranthus oertendahlii - a herbaceous plant or shrub with creeping shoots up to 50 cm long. Leaves up to 7 cm long, ovate, serrated at the margin, dark green with light veins, reddish on the underside, pubescent. Flowers white or lilac, up to 1.5 cm in diameter, gathered in loose terminal inflorescences.
Плектрантус южный - Plectranthus australis - very similar to Plectranthus oertendahlii, but differs in that its leaves are not pubescent and are a lighter green color.
