Family Anacardiaceae. Pharmaceutical name: resin from the tree bark - Mastix.
Botanical description. An evergreen tree up to 5 m in height, with resinous bark, leathery leaves and small red flowers gathered in a panicle or raceme. It grows in the Mediterranean region and on the Canary Islands.
