Appearance: a broad rounded shrub 3–4 m in height and width, asymmetric, medium- or fast-growing, with peeling bark on old branches.
Flowers: ornamental, spherical umbel-like inflorescences, white or whitish-pink, June–July.
Fruits: ornamental, red when they first appear, later reddish-brown.
Leaves: 3-5 lobed, green, in autumn – green or golden-yellow.
Root system: surface-rooted, wide, dense, tolerates planting in the trunk circle.
Requirements: sun/partial shade, frost-hardy, undemanding, wind-resistant, tolerant of urban environments.
Soils: any garden soils.
