Family Campanulaceae. In the wild it grows in the Caucasus, Western Siberia and Western Europe.
Stems tall, erect, 60–80 cm high, leaves, mainly in a dense basal rosette, oblong-ovate, 7–8 cm long; stem leaves - linear, small. Flowers in loose one-sided racemes, funnel-shaped bellflowers, up to 5 cm in diameter, blue or white. Blooms in June–July. If faded inflorescences are removed in time, it repeats flowering in August–September. Fruits abundantly. Easily propagated by seeds sown in the ground before winter. Not demanding to soils, drought-resistant, frost-hardy. Grows in open locations, but tolerates some shade.

Used in landscaping (groups, borders). Provides excellent cut-flower material.
