Pennisetum

Family: grasses. Native: East Asia, Australia. A perennial herbaceous plant.

Position: in a sunny, warm location.

Soil: from moderately moist to wet, rich in humus. Does not tolerate overly dry, compact, or sandy soils!

Care: water during prolonged droughts, fertilize lightly. Cut back in spring.
