Pellionia
Family Urticaceae. Native range - East Asia. A perennial herbaceous creeping plant.
Stems are succulent, pinkish, pressed to the ground. Leaves are alternate, oval-elongated in shape, thin, purple-brown, with light stripes along the central vein, densely covering the stems. Male and female flowers are gathered in a loose panicle. Blooms in August. The plant is warmth-loving (temperature in the range of 22–24°C), and grows even in low light. Water evenly throughout the year.
Propagation of пеллиония is by cuttings, less often by seeds. Shoot tips are used for cuttings, which root easily. Пеллиония Даво requires annual repotting. Soil should be light and fertile, composed of leaf mould, humus, peat and sand (1:0.5:0.5:0.5). Possible hydroponic cultivation.
