Beautiful Hosta
Нosta venusta
Hyacinth family. In the wild grows in Japan and Korea.
Clumps 8-18 cm high. Leaves small, almost oval, with a pointed tip. Blooms in July-August. Flower scapes 20-25 cm high with a small number of flowers. Flowers tubular, pale lilac.
A dwarf form is of interest, with leaves about 2-3 cm in size.
Other, very similar varieties — Hyacinthina and Obscura — are distinguished by rapid growth and form beautiful leaf rosettes. Their leaf petiole is deeply grooved. The leaf blade is dense, not wavy, dull green with 8-10 pairs of veins. The height of the flower scapes is 10-12 cm.
