Plantain-leaved hosta
Нosta plantaginea (Lam.) Aschers.
Hyacinth family. Native range - China, Japan.
The plant has ovate-rounded, cordate at the base, thin, bright-green, glossy leaves. The leaf blade has 7–9 pairs of veins. Flowers large, up to 12 cm long, white, fragrant; the scape 40–50 cm tall with one or several small leaves. Inflorescence dense, short. Blooms in July–August. In cultivation since 1790. Has cultivars.
