Family Hyacinthaceae. Native range - southern Primorye, northeastern China.

Forms a compact clump 35 - 40 and 40 - 50 cm in diameter. The plant has dense, green, glossy, ovate-lanceolate or lanceolate leaves 15-17 cm long, 7-8 cm wide, on petioles, at the base of the leaf blade with a reddish-brown spot. Flowers are funnel-shaped, violet with dark stripes on the inner side at the base. Inflorescence loose. The plant flowers from the second half of August to mid-October. This is one of the most interesting hosta species with the latest flowering time. In cultivation since 1829
