Orbeopsis

Family: Asclepiadaceae. Native range: East Africa.

About 10 species are known. Stems are light green, creeping, rooting at points of contact with the soil. Flowers range from yellow to dark purple, about 3 cm in diameter. Along the edges of the petals there are dark hairs. Unpleasant odor.

Tolerates intense heat and bright light. Winter temperature not below 15°C. Does not tolerate frost.
