Орбея

Family: stapeliads. Habitat: Southern, South-Western and Eastern Africa. They grow on rocky soils on mountain slopes and near rivers, in the shade of trees and shrubs.

The genus Орбея was only recently separated from the genus Стапелия as a result of a taxonomic revision.

Stems glabrous or slightly pubescent, grey- or olive-green, erect or prostrate, 10-15 cm long, 1-2 cm thick. Flowers 2-10 cm in diameter, of complex structure, often marked with transverse streaks of yellow, red, or brown.

Cultivation similar to that of стапелий и гуэрний.
