Heartleaf Nephrolepis

Family Davalliaceae. Native range - tropical and subtropical forests of both hemispheres. In cultivation since 1841.

Differs from the previous species by tuber-like swellings formed on the underground shoots (stolons), as well as by leaves directed almost vertically upward (in N. vozvyshennogo the leaves are curved) and by a denser arrangement of the segments, often overlapping each other like roof tiles.
