The water-lily family Recommended for landscaping large enclosed ponds.

Lotuses are large perennial marsh plants.

Leaves of the lotus are of three types: submerged, floating and aerial. Aerial leaves are rounded, bluish-green, reaching up to 80 cm in diameter. Flowers of the lotus are large, solitary, fragrant, on a long flower stalk. The fruit of the lotus is an obconical capsule containing large seeds in separate chambers with a very hard shell, which must be nicked when sowing
