Velvet banana or velvety banana

Family: Banana family. Reaches a height of 1.3 meters; the plant can flower at one year of age.

Bracts are pink, flowers bright yellow with a pleasant fragrance. As they open, the bracts gradually fold back and then roll into a tube. The fruits are velvety pinkish, with numerous seeds.
