Tree up to 4-5 m tall, often low and gnarled, growing in the form of a shrub. The decorative merits of the species are the yellowish-gray, sometimes pink bark, small leaves and a crown of distinctive shape. Enters the vegetation period later than other species. May be recommended for landscaping parks and forest parks as solitary or group plantings; especially suitable along the banks of bodies of water.
At 17 years the height is 5.6 m, trunk diameter 9.8 cm. Vegetates from O1.V±9 to О8.Х±14 for 160 days. Growth rate average. Flowers from 09.V110 to 19.V113 for 10 days. Fruits ripen 14.VIII±35 days. Winter hardiness complete. Seed germination low. 16% of cuttings root when treated with a 0.01% solution of IMK for 16 hours.
