Ligularia (palmate-lobed or hand-shaped)

Family Asteraceae. A hybrid between Ligularia dentata and Ligularia japonica.

An impressive plant up to 1.8 m tall and 0.9 cm in diameter. Lower leaves large, rounded, deeply lobed. Large yellowish flowers in a vertical, loose raceme-like inflorescence. Flowering in July-August. The plant requires moist soil.
