Grape-leaved clematis

Appearance: climber, 5-15 (30) m long, 2-8 m wide, support stem diameter 0.2-1 cm, very fast-growing 150-300 (500) cm per year.
Flowers: small, creamy-white, radial, numerous inflorescences (compound umbel); main flowering June–July, repeat flowering until September; strong hawthorn-like scent.
Fruits: decorative, fluffy.
Leaves: three- or five-lobed, dark green, glossy, dense foliage providing deep shade.
Root system: shallow, sensitive to high temperatures; the root collar should always be kept in the shade.
Requirements: sun / partial shade, tolerates high temperatures, generally winter-hardy, does not require protection from wind.
Soils: from fresh to moist, acidic or alkaline, fertile, sandy loams or loams, well-drained.
Note: undemanding in cultivation, fast-growing.
