Royle's elecampane

Family Asteraceae. Native to the Himalayas.

Perennial plant up to 60 cm tall. Leaves oblong, up to 25 cm long. Flower heads 4-5 cm in diameter, with bright yellow ray and tubular florets. Flowers in July-August for 30-35 days. Sets fruit. In cultivation since 1897.
