Panicle Hydrangea

Hydrangea paniculata

Back to catalogue

Family Hydrangeaceae. An exceptionally ornamental plant with white-cream flowers, clustered into large pyramidal inflorescences.

Over time the flowers take on a pinkish hue that becomes noticeably deeper by autumn. In one year the Panicle hydrangea increases significantly in height (in a warm climate and favorable conditions it can grow 1.5 - 2 m per year!) and requires heavy annual pruning. Cold hardiness - from zone 3. Best cultivars: Unique, Floribunda, Grandiflora, White Moth (noted for prolonged flowering in autumn).
