Appearance: large or medium shrub, 3–5 m in height and width, with spreading shoots, with an umbrella-shaped, tree-like crown, slow-growing or moderate growth rate, 25–40 cm per year.
Flowers: golden-yellow, narrow, ribbon-like petals, fragrant flowers, blooms in autumn, during this period the plants are striking and attractive.
Fruits: brownish, inconspicuous.
Leaves: alternate, obovate, up to 15 cm long, asymmetric at the base, coarsely toothed in the upper part, bright green, in autumn – bright yellow.
Root system: taprooted, sensitive to soil compaction.
Requirements: sun/partial shade, winter-hardy, tolerant of urban conditions.
Soils: from fresh to moist, from slightly acidic to slightly alkaline.
