Family Orchidaceae. Grows in Japan.

Plant up to 20 cm tall with a globose tuber at the end of a rather long stolon. Stems with 3–5 sessile, broad-linear leaves up to 10 cm long. Flower solitary (rarely 2–3), up to 3 cm in diameter. Outer perianth segments green, inner ones white, ovate. Lip white, three-lobed, up to 15 mm long. Median lobe of the lip linear, entire; lateral lobes fringedly dissected along the margin. Spur straight, clavately thickened at the tip, up to 4 cm long. Ovary up to 1.5 cm long. Flowers in July–August. In Russia it is at the northern boundary of its range. The plant occurs in a very limited area, but in places forms large aggregations, on some meadow plots even being one of the dominant species.
