Perennial, densely hairy plant, 20 - 40 cm tall. Leaf petioles longer than the internodes, leaves heart-shaped or heart-rounded, with a toothed margin. Stems ascending, branching, leafy shoots reach 100 cm in length. Flowers pale lilac, two-lipped, arranged 2 - 3 in the axils of the middle and upper leaves. Flowers from May to July. Medicinal plant.
