Mountain avens

Family Rosaceae. Native to the mountains of Europe.

Herbaceous perennial forming clumps with flowering stems up to 30 cm tall. Leaves rough, wrinkled. Flowers cup-shaped, yellow, about 2.5 cm in diameter. Blooms from June to July. Requires a sunny location. Hardy down to -29°C.
