Family Geraniaceae. It grows wild in southern Europe, in Southeast Asia and in the Caucasus.
Perennial plant. In cultivation since 1830. Forms a low, 10-15 cm, small bush with rounded 5–7-lobed leaves up to 6 cm wide on petioles. Leaves have a characteristic gray-green tint. Above them rise stems bearing pairs of lilac-pink flowers. Blooms abundantly in July-August, fruits in August-September.
