Appearance: medium-sized tree with a broadly oval, open crown, with straight, sparsely branched branches, height 15-20 m, width 8-12 m, fast-growing, 60-80 cm per year, young shoots glabrous, greenish-gray.
Flowers: yellowish-green inflorescences, May.
Fruits: absent.
Leaves: leaf out late, odd-pinnate, green, in autumn rarely colored with golden-green or yellow tones.
Root system: deep, wide, sensitive to compaction.
Requirements: sun/partial shade, winter-hardy, tolerant of urban conditions.
Soils: relatively dry or fresh, does not tolerate excess moisture, prefers fertile alkaline substrates.
