Yellowish Trisetum

Family: grasses. Grows on dry meadows from the taiga to the subtropical zone in Europe, in the Caucasus and in Western and Central Asia. Perennials 30-100 cm tall, forming small loose tussocks with short creeping rhizomes. Stems erect. Leaf blades linear, 0.1-0.4 cm wide, flat.
Panicles lax, 5-12 cm long; spikelets 0.4-0.6 cm long, more or less golden, with 2-5 florets; lower lemmas with a geniculate awn arising a little below the two-lobed apex of the lemma. 2n=24. Blooms in summer.
