Fabiana

Family Solanaceae. Apothecary name: tips of Fabiana branches - Fabianae herba (formerly: Summitates Fabianae, Негbа Pichi-Pichi).

Botanical description. An evergreen shrub 1 - 2 m high, externally resembling tree heath. Grows in the mountainous regions of Chile.

Active constituents: essential oil with fabianol, tannins, fat and wax, phytosterol, the alkaloid fabianin and a number of other substances.
