Back to catalogue

Family: Caprifoliaceae. Shrub up to 3 m tall.

Leaves lush green, large, deeply dissected, giving the plant an exotic appearance. Flowers white, fragrant, in large, flat, corymb-like inflorescences. Light-loving, requiring specific soil conditions. The best method of propagation is green cuttings. With seed propagation ornamental traits are poorly transmitted. Used in solitary and group plantings.

Decorative forms are less frost-hardy than the main species, but very suitable for landscaping. They can be successfully used in mixed groups, in solitary and loosely grouped plantings. Has been in cultivation since ancient times.
