Family Araliaceae.Native to islands from Polynesia to New Caledonia. The genus Dizygotheca includes 17 species.

Elegant Dizygotheca - Dizygotheca elegantissima - is an evergreen, sparsely branched tree-like plant. Leaves on long petioles — up to 40 cm long, palmately compound, with 4 to 11 leaflets. Leaflets are long, linear in shape, with toothed or serrated margins, dark green in color. Flowers are small and inconspicuous, grouped in terminal umbel inflorescences.
