Diplazium

Diplazium

Back to catalogue

Family: wood-fern family. A very, very large genus of ferns, predominantly distributed in the tropics; only a few of its representatives are found in temperate climates.

Easily propagated vegetatively, but can also be grown from spores. Diplazium ferns grow well in shade and partial shade on normally moist garden soils. The densely fruiting Diplazium prefers neutral and even slightly alkaline soils, while the Siberian Diplazium manages perfectly without liming. Used in shade gardens and landscape parks.
