Botanical description. Woolly foxglove (the woolly pubescence is characteristic primarily for the inflorescence) - a perennial plant that reaches about 1 m in height. It has linear-lanceolate pointed leaves with a very slightly toothed margin and arcuate venation. The leaf margins and veins are pubescent. The flowers are foxglove-shaped, lilac or slightly ochre, with brown veins. Notable is the acutely ovate lower lip. It flowers from June to September. Cultivated on plantations and in gardens, from where it sometimes "escapes" and naturalizes. Native range - the Pontic floristic region in the territory of Hungary and southern Europe.
