Family: Rutaceae. Occurs in the middle part of the Dnieper basin, the lower Volga, the Caucasus, and the northwestern Iranian Plateau.

Plant up to 80 cm tall with large odd-pinnate, dark green leaves, the oblong-lanceolate leaflets of which are hairy. Leafy stems end in a paniculate or racemose inflorescence up to 15 cm long. Flowers pinkish-lilac with dark purple veins or white with dirty purple veins, fragrant, up to 2.5 cm in diameter. Blooms from June for 40-45 days.
