Long-leaved deutzia

Family Hydrangeaceae. Native range - Western China.

Shrub 1–2 m tall, with pubescent annual shoots; long leaves, 9 x 2.5 cm (on elongated shoots up to 12 cm), finely toothed at the margin, dull above, dark green, beneath greenish-gray from pubescence. Flowers up to 2.5 cm, in bud - purple, when opening - lilac-pink. Ornamental for its overall habit, large leaves, and abundant, colorful flowers.
