Flowers: raspberry or carmine, small, April-May, numerous.
Leaves: lanceolate, narrow, up to 2 cm long, light green.
Root system: superficial, accumulates nitrogen.
Requirements: sun, winter-hardy, tolerant of urban conditions.
Soils: well-drained, sandy, acidic or neutral, sensitive to lime.
Zone: 6b
