Cyperus alternifolius

Family Cyperaceae. Occurs Cyperus alternifolius on the island of Madagascar along the banks of rivers, lakes and swamps.

Grows in shallow bodies of water. In greenhouses it reaches 2–2.5 m in height. It grows well under indoor conditions in pots with trays, where water must be kept constantly.
