Family Cyperaceae The genus Cyperus includes about 600 species distributed in tropical and subtropical regions.
Cyperus - marsh plants with creeping rhizomes. Leaves of Cyperus are arranged in an umbrella-like formation. Flowers are inconspicuous, forming at the base of the leaves. Cyperus reproduce by seeds, rhizomes or tubers. For planting it is recommended to use turf, leaf soil, peat and sand.
